A little of this....a little of that

So I am a month behind, but I would finally like to take some space here on the blog to say "HAPPY BIRTHDAY" to Jackson. He turned last month. We had a super fun and crazy party with a bunch of boys. We were all worn out by the end, to say the very least.

Alex went to a princess party and seemed to come home a year older. She just loved walking around the house with her new bling and telling Jackson and Dylan about all the fun she had. Dylan finally got fed up and told her what she thought about it. It was way to rude to repeat on my fabulous, loving blog. Alex just waved her new princess wand at her and said, "Abra-cadabra, I will send to back to the castle." I guess she showed her.

I used this new product for Alex's hair and I just can't get over how well it holds the curls. Thank you Garnier Fructise!

Remember when Griff had hair??

BEFORE

So I had this great idea to give Griff a TRIM. I was feeling all great and pro-active, the dishes were done, the washer was full. I was on my way to accomplishing so many great things. I started snip, snip, snippin away and then.... "Hmmmm, it looks uneven." Snip, snip, snip. "Hmmm, maybe a little more." Snipity snip! "Maybe I should call a professional." Then I had this great idea to get the clippers, they seem to even boy's hair out nicely. Buzzzzzz. "The #2 worked great on the top." Buzzzz "Oops, kind of too short for the top though. Sorry griff, I hope your head doesn't get too cold. You still look adorable though. :)

Funny Alex!

So picture the Gorringe family sitting around the dinner table....eating...of course. Alex pipes up and says, "Mom, I don't know my nipples, what are my nipples?" Devin and I look at each other and bust up into hysterics. We gathered ourselves, as all good parents should at these times. Alex continued the question. It was as if she was searching for her lost puppy. "What are my nipples Mama? I don't know my nipples." After recovering from another bout of hysterics, I investigated further. I finally got out of her that Jackson's nipples are "J" "G". I SEE, YOU MEAN INITIALS! Thanks for the good laugh Alex!

Here's another from the world of "Alex": So I was helping her go potty and she asks if we have tails. I of course do not believe in evolution, but would consider the "TAILbone" to be a bit of a confusion to small children. I proceeded to explain that we do not have tails. I was about to get into the fact that we do have a TAILbone, but....blah.....blah.....she cuts me off. "MOM, Dad has a tail." I say, "Huh??". She proceeds, "Yah, he has a really funny tail and Griffin has a teeny tiny one. They are really funny tails." NICE! It took me a second, but I finally got what she was talking about. "Yep." I say, "They are funny tails." End of conversation because I can't stop laughing.

And finally, something you should know about Alex is that she is usually prepared to answer any question right on the spot. "Alex, what is your favorite color?" "Pink". "Alex, did you wet your pants?" "Don't look Mommy, I love you so much." " Alex, what do you want to be when you grow up?" Not even a half second later...."A vampire". Of course you want to be a vampire, that is totally what I would have guessed for you to say.....not! Remember that?...NOT....so 90's.

Sledding!

The kids have been out sledding a bunch of times....I finally got some pics.

Don't you just love Alex hangin in the back seat

That makes a mom proud!

SICK!

The boys!

Yes, I will be in trouble for writing this. Maybe Devin won't read it.
So Alex started eating this big chunk of snow. I thought it was amusing so I started snapping pictures. Devin almost had a kaniption fit! "Don't encourage her! Alex put it down, it's pee snow." We both told him it wasn't yellow. Sorry Dev.
