So picture the Gorringe family sitting around the dinner table....eating...of course. Alex pipes up and says, "Mom, I don't know my nipples, what are my nipples?" Devin and I look at each other and bust up into hysterics. We gathered ourselves, as all good parents should at these times. Alex continued the question. It was as if she was searching for her lost puppy. "What are my nipples Mama? I don't know my nipples." After recovering from another bout of hysterics, I investigated further. I finally got out of her that Jackson's nipples are "J" "G". I SEE, YOU MEAN INITIALS! Thanks for the good laugh Alex!
Here's another from the world of "Alex": So I was helping her go potty and she asks if we have tails. I of course do not believe in evolution, but would consider the "TAILbone" to be a bit of a confusion to small children. I proceeded to explain that we do not have tails. I was about to get into the fact that we do have a TAILbone, but....blah.....blah.....she cuts me off. "MOM, Dad has a tail." I say, "Huh??". She proceeds, "Yah, he has a really funny tail and Griffin has a teeny tiny one. They are really funny tails." NICE! It took me a second, but I finally got what she was talking about. "Yep." I say, "They are funny tails." End of conversation because I can't stop laughing.
And finally, something you should know about Alex is that she is usually prepared to answer any question right on the spot. "Alex, what is your favorite color?" "Pink". "Alex, did you wet your pants?" "Don't look Mommy, I love you so much." " Alex, what do you want to be when you grow up?" Not even a half second later...."A vampire". Of course you want to be a vampire, that is totally what I would have guessed for you to say.....not! Remember that?...NOT....so 90's.
