I took some pictures of my sister, Nicole, while she was home on leave from the Army. She has so much courage to leave her family and go serve our country. I am so proud to call her my sister and was honored to take some pictures of her family that she will have while she is away missing them. I love you Nicole!

Christmas Day!

We had a fun and relaxing Christmas at home. No running around, no visiting, and thankfully for my bank account.........NO MORE SHOPPING!!! There were lots of smiles and surprised faces as everyone was satisfied with what they got and especially what they gave.

Alex was more than thrilled about her new princess bike.

Jackson was shocked that Santa would actually bring him an Ipod.

Dylan pretty much admitted to loving her pillow pet more than her dad........at least for a moment. She hasn't let go of it since she opened it. She even tried to take it to church.

Griffin was content all day playing with his new train and cars.

The boys needed a little action so they went sledding in the family room.

Jackson and Yoshi having some quality time.

Yoshi's new bed that Santa brought. Cozy!

Jackson took some close-ups of Yoshi

Say "CHEESE!"

Hope you all had a holiday full of love, laughter, and fun! MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Christmas puppy surprise!!

It's been a month since we surprised the kids with a puppy and things are going pretty well. I know what you are thinking......wow, no accidents! Hardly.....but we still love him.

Here are some pics of the night we brought him home.

I know it's not Summer anymore.........

Against my better judgement I am going to put up a new post. Here are some of the things that have been going on around here.

I made lunch today, Ramen noodles for those who wanted them. I never feel good about a meal without color so I steamed up some green beans to go with lunch. I like to butter and season them so that there is a chance that they will be eaten. I served them up and to my surprise they were a hit. In fact, Dylan said that I should sell them. She went on...." Mom, if I could make a sign it would say that my mom makes the best butter beans in the world." I told her to go ahead and make the sign while I was chuckling. Now if only I could get her to announce that to the world in her best southern accent I think we might be famous.

Maybe I will be back again sometime..............who knows.

Griffin turns 2!

The terrible two's are officially here. I don't really like that name....terrible 2's. It sounds so dreadful for a child to be terrible for an entire year. I have gone through this 3 other times and have never thought of the year as TERRIBLE. I will let you all know how it goes.

Griffin's birthday was on Father's Day. I started the day out by making breakfast for the DAD of the house. Here is Devin enjoying his feast.

We went to church and then over to my sister's for a BBQ. We had already celebrated Griffin's birthday two times earlier in the week. We also went to see Toy Story 3, which was way cute and so fun to see the kids in their 3D glasses.

Here are some pics from all of his parties!

Happy birthday Griff! We heart you to INFINITY AND BEYOND!!!!
